Mail sorter in Amsterdam

What are you going to do?

Your job as a mail sorter is to ensure that the mail ends up in the mail bag of the right deliverer and you and your colleagues ensure that all mail goes out every day.

As a production employee, you work at one of the client's sorting locations to sort the mail together with your colleagues. Then you make bundles of the mail and put them in the right order in bags for the mail deliverers. It is important that you are organized and precise, because your work ensures that the mail deliverers can deliver the mail correctly and on time.

If you have ever worked as a warehouse employee, order picker, logistics employee or production employee, then this position might be for you.

About the employer

Our client is one of the largest players in the field of mail delivery in the Netherlands and has many locations in the Randstad. The building you will work in is located in Amsterdam-Westpoort. The company is easily accessible by both car and public transport. So if you live near Amsterdam, Zaandam, Schiphol, Hoofddorp or Haarlem, you can certainly travel to work easily.

Requirements

  • You are available from week 34 (19 Aug), week 35 (26 Aug) or week 36 (2 Sep);
  • There is a week of training time. After this week you can choose which days you want to work. Ideally you are available from Monday to Thursday.
  • Monday you start at 11:30 am and Tuesday to Thursday you start at 1:00 pm. You're done when the work is done. This is often around 5:00 PM.
  • You work neatly and pay attention;
  • You are stress-resistant;
  • You continue until the work is completely finished;
  • You start with a temporary employment contract
  • You speak the Dutch and/or English language.

What we offer

  • The salary for this position is €13.68 per hour;
  • You will receive a travel allowance of €0.23 per km if you live further than 6 kilometers;
  • The possibility to work part-time;
  • We pay your salary every 4 weeks;
  • We contribute to your pension (from age 21);
  • Holiday/leave days;
  • Free parking.
