Distribution Center Manager in Vriezenveen

What are you going to do?

The DC Manager is ultimately responsible for the tactical and operational management of the distribution center (DC) in Vriezenveen. In this role, he or she combines strategic insight with a hands-on mentality and ensures efficient operation of the DC and a motivated team. The focus is on optimizing logistical processes and ensuring customer satisfaction.

The main tasks are:

  • Managing team leaders and coordinating daily operations.
  • Drawing up and implementing improvement plans to optimize logistics processes.
  • Ensure efficient receipt of goods, storage and order processing.
  • Monitoring team processes and coaching employees.
  • Maintaining contacts with carriers and other external parties.
  • Drawing up and monitoring annual plans and KPIs in collaboration with the DC Operations Manager.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize transportation planning and inventory management.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience as a warehouse or DC Manager in a comparable (trading) organization.
  • HBO work and thinking level in Logistics, Supply Chain or Operations.
  • Pragmatic attitude with a focus on quality and people-oriented leadership.
  • Innovative and able to improve logistics processes.
  • Good command of the Dutch language.
  • Knowledge of logistics-administrative processes and experience with Microsoft Office and BI tools.

What we offer

  • Salary between €3,600 and €5,000 per month, depending on experience.
